Despite the increasing number of problems in the world, political leaders across the globe seem unable to implement their election promises.

They are bogged down by arguments, public protests and deliberate opposition from other political parties. This frustrates their plans, delays actions and often results in compromise or failure.

Our leaders do not possess ultimate power. While in some ways this may be a good thing, it does not inspire us with confidence that they can solve the problems they face.

Current World Leaders are also hampered by their lack of knowledge of all the facts. When making promises before taking office they do not know or appreciate all the facts so cannot make reliable predictions. They are fundamentally flawed.

If only world leaders were different and could deliver on their promises!

Jesus is Different.  After his resurrection, Jesus said: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18 NKJV). The Bible teaches that, however world leaders act, God is ultimately in control (Daniel 5:21). One day he (God) will send Jesus back to the earth to set up His kingdom, which will sort out all the world’s problems once and for all.

It is the only solution and it is certain!

People are, however, jaded by their experience of human leaders' repeated failures and therefore are understandably sceptical. So it seems to them doubtful that Jesus will be able to accomplish this fantastic challenge, and they ask: "What will he do?",  How will he do it?” and of course, “When will he do it?”

Jesus will be like no other world leader.

Jesus will be like no other world leader; he is totally free from corruption or self-interest. But also, uniquely in that, he is God’s Son and representative; he is now immortal like God, and like God, he knows everything.

When Jesus rules, he will have unique insight plus unlimited power and authority.

We find this prophesied in the Old Testament and explained in the New Testament:-

Daniel 7:14 (NKJV)

14Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.  His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
Which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.

Ephesians 1:20-21 (NKJV)

20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality[a] and power and [c]might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

The leader the world needs

No one will be able to thwart, delay or compromise Jesus’ policies. He will rule with total authority and power. Moreover, unlike the present world, no one will have reason to complain that anything he does is unjust or unfair - the world will be transformed in righteousness.

Jesus Christ is the leader the world needs. We must also ask ourselves, “Are we ready for his return?” If not, then what need you do now?
